At La Quinta we have strong commitment to the success of every team member. Our learner-focused training programs are designed with your career development in mind.

Each team member is assigned a personal training plan specific to their role within the organization. The custom training plan gives each team member the opportunity to focus their attention on learning what they need to know to succeed in their position. We offer multiple types of training, including:

Web Based Training
A team member's custom training plan begins with access to our online corporate university, www.LQUniversity.com. Here you have access to launch engaging web based courses.

Small Group Training
At La Quinta we understand the value of offering training in small groups, with programs that promote collaboration and make learning fun. Programs like Buddy's Challenge, where 6 to 10 team members engage in a Monopoly style game where they encounter scenarios based on real-world challenges. These challenges are solved through the conversation and idea sharing.

We believe the foundation of early success for a new team member is to ensure training begins during the on-boarding process. Our commitment to early success is spotlighted by programs like INNitiation and INNtegration.

On-site Mentor Led Training
During INNitiation,every new Hotel Manager goes through a comprehensive 18-day on-the-job training program delivered by a La Quinta Certified Instructor. This program covers every aspect of their role. The new Manger learns from the best, as every Certified Instructor is also an experienced Manager at their own La Quinta Hotel.

Classroom Training at the Corporate Office
Following the 18-day program the new Manager comes to the La Quinta Corporate office in Dallas, Texas for a 4-day class designed to re-enforce what the they were taught during INNitiation. This 4-day class, titled INNtegration, is delivered by the Manager's Corporate Support Staff and La Quinta Company Executives. INNtegration graduates return to their hotel armed with a property specific action plan, and the knowledge to face their new role with confidence.
